Subject: Admission of PhD Students at the DAG Group - CVC


PhD STUDENT POSITION

The Pattern Recognition and Document Analysis group from the Computer Vision Center (www.cvc.uab.es) offers a PhD research position to work in this area. 
Research will be related to the analysis of document structure for document categorization and retrieval, using techniques of image processing and pattern recognition. A Master degree on Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence will be included in the scholarship.

PhD students who are admitted ought to have a strong background in computer science. Evidence of this background should include either a Bachelor\'s Degree or a Master\'s Degree in Computer Science or a closely related field. Candidates with degrees in other areas such as Electrical Engineering, Physics, and Mathematics will also be considered. A good skill in English is also required. In order to be considered for admission, grade point average of the student during his/her undergraduate courses must be of at least GPA of 1.5.
