My Client is looking for GIS Technician's UK-Wide to be responsible for all aspects of GIS and data collecti! on.
Principal duties for this role will include all aspects of GIS data collection and manipulation using GIS package (ArcView) or MapINFO. You will also be required to assist office based GIS staff with all aspects of project related work, with the opportunity to be considered for short term secondments to external companies.

Applicants must have an A-Level in Geography or equivalent, and/or GIS qualifications. Desirably you will also have a Degree/GIS experience using ArcView/MapINFO. The successful candidates will be an excellent team player that is self-motivated physically fit and holds a current UK driving licence. You be a reliable and out-going individual who can deal with the public when working alone.

The principal duties include undertaking GIS tasks/project management, GIS analysis, direction and support of junior staff, assistance in proposal preparation and undertaking BD/marketing activities. The successful candidate's needs to hold a postgraduate degree in GIS related field and have at least 3 years relevant experience. A working knowledge of mainstream GIS application software is essential along with excellent written language skills and proven experience in support of business development/tender preparation. It would be useful if the candidates have knowledge of the specialist industry sector, UK government GIS applications and PRINCE project management. Job Overview We are seeking a Geoscience GIS Support Specialist to work at a client site in London. The role is for: User Support for ArcView & ArcGIS Data Management & map creation within ArcView & ArcGIS Roles & Responsibilities User support of ESRI applications: ArcView 3.2 and ArcInfo & ArcGIS, Sratworks/Openworks & Geoframe Educate users on the effective use of the GIS applications Compile basemaps & creating working interest block participation maps for users Transfer data from multiple applications such as geodesk, arc, moped, Openworks, Stratworks, and SDI Montage. Must be able to integrate data types, coverages and shape files into clear map-based presentations Importing Excel spreadsheet well log data into Arc Registering and rectifying image files.
