GEOGRAPHIC RESEARCHER Function´s: Create and update the map data/geographical database of a limited territory. The job consists in gathering and updating geographical and guiding information directly from the field (names of streets; addressing; points of interest; navigable information of streets such as driving direction;..). The function also requires analysis of map data and external sources in the office, while reporting and working to maintain the geographical database consistent. Responsibilities: - Ownership and planning of work in minor geographical areas, including desk and field work; - Get all relevant information regarding any modification to this geographical area and gather info to be entered into the database; - Constantly improve the data base by using predefined tools and procedures; - Validation of the information (reliability, quality); - Analysis of aerials, maps, points of interest; - assistance with driving, fieldwork, plot delivery; - Data entry in our internally developed GIS system; Requirements: - Availability to inhabit in Porto; - University degree (Geography, Topography); - Fluent in English, Portuguese native language, - Computer skills; - Good communication skills; - Driving license between 3-5 years; - Knowledge in ARCGIS could be a plus.
